I am a self-employed proofreader and editor, based in Belfast, UK. I offer a friendly, efficient and flexible service with very affordable rates.
I’m equally happy working with students, new writers and indie game developers. I love having something new to work with!
When I'm not freelancing for others, I write and illustrate my own fantasy novels. I enjoy creating miscellaneous artwork in both traditional and digital media. I'm very passionate about the natural world and my assorted pets.
Having spent many years proofreading my own and others’ work on an unofficial basis, I am in the process of obtaining a qualification in Proofreading & Copy-Editing with the Writer’s Bureau in order to professionally offer these services to clients worldwide. I am a member of the SfEP (Society for Editors & Proofreaders) and EPANI (Editors’ & Proofreaders’ Alliance of Northern Ireland).
I have published five novels to date, and hold two science degrees (BSc & MSc) from Queen’s University, Belfast. As such I have a passion for the English Language, and understand how difficult it can be to proofread one’s own work. Any work presented to me will be treated with great care. In the past I have worked as a freelance illustrator, and designed logos for local companies that can still be seen today.
